Introducing new GPC member: Amee Parikh

Published on July 25, 2024

Welcome Amee Parikh, our newest GPC member!

Though a resident of Singapore for two decades, Amee's heart remains in India. With nearly 25 years of experience as a corporate law and finance consultant, Amee has held non-executive and independent director positions in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Currently, Amee serves as a director at Amansa Capital Ltd., an India-focused investment management company, where she leads sustainability, diversity, and stewardship initiatives. Her passion lies in advising companies on integrating ESG and sustainability metrics into their business frameworks.

Together with her husband Akash Prakash, Amee established the Amansa Foundation in India. This philanthropic venture not only undertakes charitable activities but also supports social entrepreneurs in scaling their operations. Through Amansa Capital's CSR activities, the couple funds projects in India and Singapore, focusing on higher education, healthcare, and climate research/public policy institutes.

Amee and Akash are also Founder Trustees of Ashoka University, a world-class liberal arts college in India. This successful example of collective philanthropy has inspired the establishment of similar institutions across the country. In a landscape where institutionalized giving is becoming the norm, Amee believes that individual and family initiatives with 'patient capital' play a crucial role in filling important gaps in philanthropy.

We're excited to have Amee join our community and look forward to her valuable contributions!
