Hearts on a Mission: A Movement Against Slavery

We are delighted to share an inspiring new initiative from GPC member Maren Krass. HeARTs on a Mission harnesses the power of creativity and art to raise awareness and inspire collective action against modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation.

At the heart of the movement is the Freedom Pompom, recently recognized by the Global Sustainability Network as a global symbol of freedom and inclusion. This simple, universal form is intended to spark conversations and solidarity worldwide – “one pompom, one stand against slavery.”

The campaign is aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 8.7 (ending forced labor, modern slavery, and human trafficking) and invites participation from individuals, organizations, and artists to spread awareness, inspire dialogue, and amplify survivor voices.
