From February 24 to 26, GPC members and Synergos guests were hosted by the Shibulal and Piramal families for an impactful learning journey to Bihar, India. The trip focused on examining education and healthcare initiatives in one of the most underserved and backward regions of the country. Participants were introduced to the significant philanthropic contributions of the host families, which have driven systemic change in local communities.

The visit allowed guests to witness firsthand how targeted philanthropic efforts can lead to lasting improvements in people’s lives. The journey also included a cultural and historical component, with visits to Nalanda University and the Bodh Gaya temple. Nalanda University, one of the oldest centers of learning in the world, highlighted India’s rich educational legacy.

At the Bodh Gaya temple, participants reflected at the site where Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, connecting spiritual heritage with the transformative power of learning.

Overall, the journey offered a unique blend of field insight, cultural immersion, and personal reflection for all participants.
